Assistants’ Organizations

The Urban Management Professionals of South East Texas (UMPSET) is committed to the professional development of young professionals in Local Government. The organization is a forum to exchange ideas, to network with other public administration professionals, and to offer an additional avenue to the serve the various communities the organization represents. UMPSET is committed to supporting the development of ethical and professional local government managers and the promotion of the City Manager form of government throughout the South East Texas region via professional development, networking opportunities and a dedication to community service projects.

The Urban Management Association of Central Texas (UMACT) is dedicated to promoting the professional development of its membership and to advance the urban management profession through active participation and association with management organizations and colleagues. We are committed to networking, professional development, relationship-building, and collaboration.

The mission of the Urban Management Assistants of North Texas (UMANT) is to insure the continuance of high caliber local government management into the new millennium. Composed of individuals employed in entry and mid-management positions with municipal government agencies in the North Central Texas region.

Urban Management Assistants of South Texas (UMAST) is dedicated to the continued improvement and development of public sector professionals and the South Texas communities they serve through professional development, personal improvement, social and community service programming opportunities.
