TCMA annually awards two Clarence E. Ridley Scholarship to graduate students enrolled in a Texas public administration program or closely related field. Additionally, TCMA, in conjunction with the Texas State University-San Marcos Public Services Academy, offers an annual fellowship to a Texas city manager to attend the entire Barney L. Knight Texas Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program. The Tom Muehlenbeck Scholarship is available to a Texas City Management Association member’s dependent child who is a high school graduating senior and has been accepted to a Texas college or university. Other programs include scholarship programs to assist members attending TCMA educational events. These include the TCMA Annual Conference New Professional’s Scholarship and eligibility for in-transition members to attend the TCMA Annual Conference and the TML Annual Conference.
