Conference Call

The Nominating Committee includes: David Landis, City Manager, Perryton (Chair); Larry D. Gilley, City Manager, Abilene; Mo Raissi, City Manager, Jacksonville; Joe Dickson, City Manager, Santa Fe; and Brad Stafford, City Manager, Navasota.

David Landis called the conference call to order at 1:30 p.m. and thanked the members for participating.
The TCMA Nominating Committee members reviewed the petitions submitted for the 2013 ballot for TCMA statewide officer positions. The petitions included: President-Elect – Mike Land, Deputy City Manager, Coppell; Vice President – David Harris, Executive Director- Support, City of Schertz; and Director-at-Large – Michael Ahrens, City Administrator, City of Mount Pleasant and Paulette Hartman, City Administrator, City of Joshua.
David Landis asked the Nominating Committee members if they wished to add any other names to the ballot or provide any endorsements of any candidates on the ballot. On a motion by Joe Dickson and a second by Brad Stafford, the committee accepted the four candidates for the positions on the ballot, decided against adding any other names to the ballot, and decided against making any committee endorsement for any candidate.
The Nominating Committee unanimously approved the following individuals for the 2013 ballot for TCMA statewide officer positions:
President-Elect Mike Land, Deputy City Manager, Coppell
Vice President David Harris, Executive Director-Support, City of Schertz
Director-at-Large Michael Ahrens, City Administrator, City of Mount Pleasant
Director-at-Large Paulette Hartman, City Administrator, City of Joshua
A subcommittee (David Landis and Joe Dickson) of the TCMA Nominating Committee will canvass the votes the week of April 8.
With nothing else on the agenda, the conference call was adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
